The innervalve represents the „heart“ of the control valve. Here, depending on the application, highly abrasive, corrosive or cavitative forces, predominate.
- Abrasive media: Extremely hard solids in the media, causing removal or destruction of the surface.
Answer: Hardened or coated innervalves. - Corrosive media: Chemical attack of the innervalve.
Answer: Choose resistant material combination. - Cavitation: Imploding gas bubbles, produced by high pressure drop, damage of the surface.
Answer: Hardened or coated innervalves
General information
The innervalves are available in 38 different sizes with different characteristics - and about 140 different material combinations. The following features can optionally be selected: Soft seat, double taper.
Soft seat
All innervalves from V – O are available with PTFE or KEL-F soft seat - thus improving the leakage class of the soft seat.
Double taper
For media with slight impurities. A secondary taper, starting at approximately 75% lift, allows the trim to be flushed of debris without disassembling the unit (the rangeability is decreased accordingly).
