Pump and screen monitoring in waste water treatment plants

Fundamentals:
In a waste water treatment plant before the pump station, there is a screen to remove solid particles. The waste water flows downstream into the pump station and conveyed to a collecting basin. Ultrasonic level sensors monitor the flow at both points.
Screen monitoring:
The screen is cleaned continuously. If solid particles accumulate upstream from the screen, it creates a level difference in front of and behind the screen. Mechanical screen cleaning starts when the level difference reaches a predetermined point.
Two ultrasonic sensors, overflow and underflow, measure the level and the level difference.
The iSonic 2000 transducer monitors the screen cleaning with the level difference.
