Impeller meters in filter rinsing systems

In installations equipped with purifying filters, e.g. swimming pools, filters need to be rinsed on a regular basis or as soon as filter membranes are clogged. For such a case, rinsing systems are applied that operate either manually or automatically. In the following, you may see a flow dependent rinsing system.
Task
Automatically controlled filter system rinsing.
Solution
Automatic rinsing in counterflow. The flow monitor 2100 with its two channel output calculates the flow via measuring transducer in the main pipe of the installation. In case that it falls below a certain set value, the control valve in the main line is activated through a relay and rinsing is started.
The second flow sensor series 200 informs the monitor about the flow and resets the relay after a set filter relevant flow has taken place and the filter system continues with its normal filter process.
Via 4-20 mA or a scaled pulse output, the flow monitor can control a printer documenting the rinsing process.
