Batching ricinus oil

Problem:
A dispersion manufacturer needs to replace sliding vane meters. The manufacturer requires a low-cost measuring system for batching ricinus oil in truck tanks.
Target:
Measurement of quantities and conversion into mass in the batch controller with density correction
Solution:
Mass flow measurement was rejected due to high cost and the required pipe orientation. Instead, the company chose a volume meter that met their accuracy and cost requirements, an aluminum MN80 oval gear with pulse output. The oval gear meter is used with temperature compensation via a PT-100 feeler and a Batch Master 110i multifunction batch system. The flow meter provides a volume signal with the pulse value of 2,59 ppl. The ricinus oil is saved in such a way in the batching master that density corrections can be made during measurement via the metered temperature value. The preselected quantity for filling of truck tanks can be set from the batching master in kilograms or tons. You do not need to convert between mass and volume. The batch stations are operated with pumps having a frequency converter. The pump is switched off at the end of the filling by a two-step process that uses ball valves.
