Filling and batching with oscillating piston meters

The following example shows a typical measuring plant. The start-up and closing process is linearized with a PC 100 batch controller and exactly controlled down to zero with a shut-off valve that provides for accurate and shock-free batching of large volumes.
Thanks to the linearization of the error curve via the batch controller, a maximum error range of ±0,3 percent can be ensured.

Target
A very viscous liquid of the food industry needs to be batched with a high level of accuracy. The measuring system must be cip/sip cleaned. The charge should be run-up shock-free to Qmax and 100 percent switched off down to Qmin.

Solution
The DN50 oscillating piston meter with batch controller PC100 and connected shut off valve which is gradually
switching off ensures an exact shut off without backlash.
The start-up and closing process with the multifunctional batch controller PC100 and the shut off valve with positioner monitors the batch process. An additional linearization of the characteristics results in high accuracy.
